Adelaide United sign Brisbane Roar's Jacob Brazete on 3-year deal

Adelaide United has officially signed Jacob Brazete from Brisbane Roar on a three-year deal. This move aims to strengthen their roster for future competitions.

Adelaide United has bolstered its attacking lineup for the upcoming 2026/27 Isuzu UTE A-League season by signing winger Jacob Brazete on a three-year contract, which includes an option for an additional year. The 20-year-old joins the club from Brisbane Roar, where he made 25 appearances over the last two seasons.

Exciting Addition to the Squad

Brazete, a right-footed player capable of operating on either wing, had a standout 2024/25 season, marked by a remarkable long-range goal against Adelaide during a 1-1 draw at Coopers Stadium. He has already begun training with the Reds in pre-season and expressed enthusiasm about his new club's playing style.

“Adelaide play a really beautiful, free-flowing and progressive attacking style of football, and as an attacking player, that’s all you could really wish for, so I am so excited to be here,” Brazete stated. He also reflected on his previous experiences at Coopers Stadium, saying, “Since scoring my first A-League goal here, Coopers has always had a profound place in my heart.”

Commitment to Development

Football Director Mitch van Gellekom highlighted Brazete's potential for growth at Adelaide United. “At Adelaide United, we don’t just recruit players for what they are today. We recruit them for what they can become,” he explained. Van Gellekom believes that with the right environment and support, Brazete can make a significant impact and further his career.

Brazete will don the No.21 jersey for Adelaide United in the upcoming season, as he aims to contribute to the team's success and engage the fans with his performances.
