AC Milan has officially acquired 20-year-old centre-back Sankhoun Diawara from Troyes, securing his services with a contract that extends until 2031, including an option for an additional year.

As reported by L'Équipe, the Rossoneri have invested €2 million to bring the left-footed defender to the club. Diawara's move comes as Troyes faces the challenge of losing another key player following their promotion to Ligue 1.

Player Background

Born in Paris and raised in the Aube region, Diawara made his professional debut in Ligue 2 in January 2026 after participating in the Coupe de France. He solidified his position in the team by playing in the last 14 league matches of the 2025-2026 season.

With Diawara's departure, Troyes has now seen significant talent leave the club, including Mathys Detourbet, who transferred to Manchester City, and Martin Adeline, who joined Hamburg. Since the opening of the transfer window, Troyes has generated over €30 million from player sales.
